After a taking a three year hiatus since the release of their split CD in 2005, Cephalectomy is pleased to present a new
single-song epic entitled The Dream Cycle Mythos. Once again, Cephalectomy takes their brand of H.P. Lovecraft-horror-mysticism inspired death/grind to new heights. The only track on this album required more than a year to write and record so it is epic in more than one way. On the PC-enhanced portion of the CD, fans will find an MP3 and video for the pre-release track The Igniting Tempest. Also, Cephalectomy's entire 2004 release Eclipsing The Dawn is included on the new EP in MP3 format. A number of other bonus MP3s have also been included for your listening pleasure. Cephalectomy has unleashed Eclipsing The Dawn. Never before
has a grind/death metal band from Atlantic Canada released material with so much intensity, insanity and sound quality. It's a shame we will never
see these guys on stage as Eclipsing The Dawn is the "pro" recording that surely would have put Cephalectomy over the top.
Despite lacking the ability to tour and without garnering much attention from traditional metal media outlets, Cephalectomy's latest creation
is pushing extreme metal in a new direction.
